Cecal microbial communities of donor birds of inbred lines that exhibit heritable differences in resistance to C. jejuni colonization are not significantly different. Shown is a nonmetric multidimensional scaling (NMDS) plot of the cecal microbiota from the 5 donor chickens of each line, 6₁ and N, at 21 days of age. While spatially the two lines clustered separately, there was no statistically significant difference between the microbiota of the two lines of chickens when investigated using the adonis test (P = 0.061).
