Cellular toxicity of protein aggregates was measured by MTT test. Protein (1 mg/mL) was prepared at pH 2 (150 mM NaCl) and 65 °C and it was neutralized prior to the addition to the PC 12 cells. Protein was incubated for (A) 10 minutes, (B) 20 minutes, (C) 30 minutes, and (D) 120 minutes [BSA: Bovine Serum Albumin, CAT: Catalase, PEP: Pepsin, INS: Insulin, SOD: Superoxide dismutase, LYZ: Lysozyme].
