Turnover of long lived protein. Huh-7 Rep/Feo cells were labeled with [¹⁴C]leucin for 4 h, then degradation of long-lived protein in chloroquine treated cells was measured as described in Materials and Methods. The percentage of protein degradation was calculated by dividing the amount of acid-soluble radioactivity in the medium at that time by the amount of acid-precipitable radioactivity present in the cells at time zero. Data are mean ± SEM of value of triplicate in each group (*P < 0.05)
