Geldanamycin (GA) inhibited Herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) replication in Vero cells in a dose-dependent manner. HSV-2 infected Vero cells were incubated in the absence or presence of GA at final concentration in the 0–0.5 μM range (0, 0.0625, 0.125, 0.25, 0.5 μM).
