Mapping LC/MS/MS‐identified peptides (underlined) onto the largest protein isoform of the Plec1 gene (upper panel), showing that there is a large sequence gap between any two neighboring identified peptides, such as a 1,371‐AA gap between “GGAEGELQALR” and “GFFDPNTHENLTYLQLLER” in the middle of the protein. Moreover, there are three repeated sequences identified (lower panel), from the 2948th to the 3028th, the 3607th to the 3687th, and the 4185th to the 4265th AA regions, respectively, with single AA mutations shown as the italicized letters.
