Regional distribution of structural properties in the subchondral bone plate (SBP). Increased plate thickness (Pl.Th) is evident in the medio-lateral plane for the OA specimens. No difference in plate porosity (Pl.Po) was observed between the two groups. (PPL = posterior poster-lateral; APL = anterior postero-lateral; PAL = posterior antero-lateral, AAL = anterior antero-lateral; AAM = anterior antero-medial; PAM = posterior antero-medial; APM = anterior postero-medial; PPM = posterior postero-medial).
