Recombinant and native soluble (pro)renin receptor (sPRR) stimulated protein expression of α-epithelial Na+ channel (ENaC) in primary rat inner medullary collecting duct (IMCD) cells. A: primary rat IMCD cells were exposed to histidine-tagged sPRR (sPRR-His) at 10 nM for 24 h. Protein abundances of the three subunits of ENaC were evaluated by immunoblot analysis. B: native sPRR was prepared from mouse urine samples using immunoprecipitation (termed as m-sPRR) and added to primary rat IMCD cells for 24 h.
