Effect of sodium hydrogen sulfide (NaHS) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) donor GYY4137 on ischemic human myoblasts. To test the effect of NaHS, ischemic human myoblasts were treated with 1 mM, 100 μM, and 10 μM of NaHS for 20 min before the end of the 6 h hypoxia treatment and then for additional 3 h under the normoxia condition (A,B). Similarly, ischemic human myoblasts were treated with 100 and 10 μM of GYY4137 for 24 h (C,D). The effect of both compounds on cell proliferation and reversal of cell toxicity was determined by MTS and LDH assays, respectively. Data are expressed as mean ± SD (n = 6).
