A portion of the chromatogram (15-35 min) is shown. Major peaks are labeled for the wild type sample (A), and extra peaks appearing in the knockout sample are indicated in panel B. Using a temperature program better suited for separation of medium chain fatty acids, 2,6,10-trimethylundecanoic acid is also seen in the KO profiles (not shown) (IS, internal standard; tricosanoic acid, C23:0).
