NSs suppresses RLR signaling at the level of TBK1/IKKε. HEK293T cells were co-transfected with the indicated amount of NSs expression plasmids and plasmids encoding RIG-IN (A), MDA5 (B), MAVS (C), TBK1 (D), IKKε (E), or IRF3/5D (F), along with IFN-β (A–E) or ISRE (F) promoter reporter plasmids and pRL-TK.
