Semiquantitative reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) analysis of Nicotiana benthamiana S-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase (NbSAHH) transcripts. RNAs extracted at 12 days postinfiltration from patches with 35S constructs expressing dsSAHH or the empty vector control, alone or in combination with constructs expressing Tomato bushy stunt virus p19 protein (p19) or Tomato chlorosis virus p22 protein (p22), were analyzed using appropriate primers. Aliquots were removed at the indicated cycles. RT-PCR of cytochrome c oxidase (cyt c) transcript was used as an internal control. Sizes of the expected RT-PCR products are indicated to the right.
