rpIFN-L1 and L3 inhibited PEDV (strain CV777) infection in Vero E6 and IPEC-J2 cells. Vero E6 or IPEC-J2 cells were stimulated with rpIFN-L1 or rpIFN-L3 at indicated concentrations for 24 h in 24-well plates and then were infected with PEDV at an MOI of 0.1. Vero E6 or IPEC-J2 cells were further cultured for 36 h prior to PEDV RNA quantification by RT-qPCR; B. Vero E6 cells were treated or untreated with 100 ng/ml of rpIFN-L1 for 24 h prior to infection with PEDV. The cell supernatant containing PEDV RNA was measured by RT-qPCR at 12, 24, 36, 48, 60 h post-infection. The results are presented as the mean ± SEM (N = 3). *P < 0.05; **P < 0.01 by Unpaired T test.
