The transient expression of IFITMs inhibited PEDV replication. Porcine IFITM1 and IFITM3 were cloned and expressed in the eukaryotic expression vector pCAGGS-HA. Vero E6 cells were infected with PEDV (CV777) following transfection with pIFITM1-HA, pIFITM3-HA, or Vector for 24 h. The viral RNA was quantified at 36 hpi. The results are presented as the mean ± SEM (N = 3).
