(B) Activity of the proximal APN promoter in 293T human embryonic kidney cells. 293T cells were transfected with the serially diluted pGL3-Basic vector encoding the mouse proximal APN promoter (mAPN-luc, left panel). After 24 h, the cells were lysed and assayed for luciferase activity. The promoter activity is expressed relative to the luciferase activity measured in cells transfected with the pGL3-Basic vector. The error bars represent the standard deviations of three replicates.
