Fig. 4 — Yield-response of wheat to Zn applications. Data are from 1193 and 1338 farmers in Punjab and Sindh Provinces, respectively, from a survey conducted in early 2015 from 2014 harvest data (Waqar Ahmad, personal communication, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, FAO, Islamabad). In Punjab, 1021 and 172 farmers reported zero-Zn (−Zn) and Zn fertiliser use (+Zn), respectively. In Sindh, the equivalent figures were 1028 and 310. Boxes represent the middle two quartiles; whiskers represent the 95 % confidence limits; outliers circled. Median increases are indicated by the horizontal line within the box. Yield increases in both Punjab and Sindh were significant (P < 0.001)
