Difference in DNA fragmentation between AA and GG genotypes. HBE cells with AA (n = 5) or GG (n = 3) genotypes were stimulated with IFN-β (1000 IU/ml) for 12 h and/or with NE (5 × 10⁻⁸ M) for 6 h. With an apoptosis determination kit, relative absorbance ratios (absorbance of sample cells/absorbance of control cells) were obtained and shown as mean ± SEM. Experiments were performed in triplicate. Statistically significant: ^∗p < 0.05.
