The device consists of (1) a dielectric ceramic plate (Al₂O₃) with outer and inner electrodes (W–Mo alloy), (2) a needle-shaped electrode (stainless steel) and (3) electric circuits for power supply. The size of the device is 70 mm (W) × 43.5 mm (D) × 21 mm (H).
