Note: One-month stock returns (SR), computed based on changes in monthly closing stock price (P), are given as: SR=ln(PMay/PApril)−100, where PMay and PApril are the closing prices at the end of April and May, respectively. The Composite stock price index is the Taiwan capitalization-weighted stock index of the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Data for the stock price index of each industry were taken from the TEJ database.
