Electron micrograph of coronaviral particles from the intestinal contents of a 4-week-old turkey poult with enteritis from southern Indiana. Variably sized coronaviral particles were largely round and have envelope and central depression. They were surrounded by a double fringe of regularly spaced peplomer spikes attached to viral particles by a short stalk. Bar=100 nm.
