Fig. 6 — Instead of binning the photon event in time, we propose doing the binning in the frequency domain. This allows us directly to sample the phasor field wavefront $H_{F} (x_{c}, Ω)$ used for reconstructions. Ω stands for the frequency range for the phasor field wavefront. The equation for the Fourier Domain Histogram can be applied during measurements, which is a summation of complex phasors (or a separated real and imaginary part).
