Berberine (BBR) can increase the number of autophagosomes in myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) model rats subjected to ischemia/reperfusion (I/R). Autophagosomes were detected in MIRI model rats pretreated with shBNIP3/shNC and BBR (50 μM) by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Scale bar = 200.0 nm (insets) and magnification 120,000×. (B).
