The proportion of positive viral test results for all children ≤7 years of age who were tested as part of their routine clinical care in the ED is compared to the results of tests collected prospectively from a validation group. A linear regression model revealed a significant association between the routine clinical tests and the validation sample (χ2=60.64; P<.0001).
