Flowchart of our individualized IQ prediction and validation analysis. In this study, we employed a cross-validated prediction framework to estimate individual’s IQ scores using the whole-brain FC. Gender-specific IQ-predictive FC patterns were discovered for both males and females. Moreover, the gender specificity, intelligence specificity, and generalizability of the identified FC patterns were investigated across three independent data sets and two intelligence measurements (IQ and fluid intelligence).
