(A) The increases in the levels of NADPH oxidase activity and superoxide anions induced by Ang II were reduced after apelin-13 treatment in the heart of MI rats. (B) The increases in the levels of NADPH oxidase activity and superoxide anions induced by Ang II were reduced after apelin-13 treatment in the CFs. (C) The PI3K overexpression reversed the effects of apelin-13 on Ang II-induced increases in the levels of NADPH oxidase activity and superoxide anions in CFs.
