Laser Ablation -Inductive Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (LA-ICP-MS) quantification of (A) Calcium (Ca) and (B) Phosphorous (P) on the valves’ leaflets. The results were normalized by the counts of the negative controls of every valve group. Significant accumulation of Ca and P is seen in the tissue valves, while negligible levels accumulated onto the surface of the polymer valves.
