In vivo pharmacokinetics of free mTHPC (A) and Cy7 labeled (EGa1)-P23 micelles (B) loaded with mTHPC (A) upon tail vein administration in A431 tumor-bearing Balb/c mice (0.3 mg of mTHPC per kg of bodyweight of the mouse, i.e., ∼6 μg of mTHPC). Blood samples taken at different time points were used to quantify the percentage of mTHPC and the corresponding Cy7 labeled micelles of the injected dose (%ID) present in systemic circulation.
