Identification of Müller cell nuclei as INL centers for STAT3 activation. To assess which retinal cells exhibited STAT3 phosphorylation, labeling was performed on +/+ (A,B) and Ter349Glu/Ter349Glu (C,D) animals for glial fibrillary acidic protein (purple), a marker of astrocytes and gliotic Müller cells, rhodopsin (green), and pSTAT3 (red).
