Chondrocytes (1 × 106/ml) were cultured in FGM RGM and HGM for 24 h with or without pioglitazone (1, 10, and 50 mM). Cell lysates were collected. The expressions of CGTF (a), TGF-β1 (b), IL-6 (c), and MMP-13 (d) in the culture supernatants were measured by ELISA.
