Figure 2. — Atorvastatin protects renal function in rat CIAKI model. Rats were injected with iopromide to establish CIAKI model. 48 h after injection of iopromide, rats showed significant increase of SCr, BUN and serum NGAL, as well as decrease of ClCr. However, pretreatment with atorvastatin for 3d could alleviate the contrast-induced expression of SCr, BUN and serum NGAL, with restoring ClCr. Data are presented as mean ± SD (n = 6). ** p < 0.01 versus control group, ## p < 0.01 versus CIAKI group.
