Saturation binding of [¹²⁵I]Iodo-ASEM (0.02-10 nMol/L) to 12 µm sections from the rat hippocampus and cortex (A, B, n = 1) and pig frontal cortex (C, n = 1) brain. Non-specific binding was determined in the presence of 10 µMol/L SSR-180,711. Optical density of the autoradiograms was converted into ligand binding (fmol/mg protein ± S.E.M.) from a representative experiment. Data from saturation binding experiments were analysed by non-linear regression. Individual K_d and B_max values are indicated in Section 2.1. All autoradiographic experiments and quantifications are carried out in 2–4 sections per animal using 10 radioligand concentrations.
