Mangrove emissions were calculated for the time period 1970-2015 ussing a conservative approach of 25% loss of the total storage. Main factors of change: 1. Aquaculture farms and artificial ponds, 2. Construction areas, 3. Hydraulic infrastructure, 4. Communication routes, 5. Industrial zones and 6. Turistic zones (from Valderrama-Landeros et al., 2017).
