The deconvolution calculates a zero-charge spectrum by relating the intensities of multiple differently charged ions of the same species to the non-charged state. (B) Mass spectrum of Gcd in harsh detection mode (23 mJ laser power). The sample is dissociated into smaller fragments by the laser energy. Only peaks with biologically plausible subunit compositions were marked.
