The bottom unit X-Net® (Metas AS, Bergen, Norway) includes a bottom-based permanent cable connected docking station X-Node (green; see also Figure 2) and an instrumented exchangeable top unit (X-Frame; yellow) that can be launched and recovered with the Launch Recovery Tool (X-LRT). Note that the ARIM X-Frame includes the garage for the crawler (see Figure 2). This allows the user to operate and maintain the ARIM system without the assistance of expensive ROV vessel time.
