Bean plants were treated with Fusarium, Fusarium and Metarhizium, or water, and grown for 14 days in microbiome soil or sterilized soil (autoclaved three times). Disease symptoms of root-rot in bean plants is seen as discolouration, lesions, and/or necrosis on the hypocotyl and/or roots. There were no indications of disease on the above-ground tissues. Fusarium: Fusarium solani f. sp. phaseoli; Metarhizium: Metarhizium robertsii 2575-GFP.
