Lobes of the lung. (From Cook, 1983.) bronchi, all of which have cartilagenous support; and the posterior portion of the respiratory tract consists of the lungs. The left lung is a single lobe. The right lung is divided into four lobes: superior, middle, inferior, and postcaval (Fig. 3).
