Structure of NLRP in humans. NLRP is the largest subfamily of NLR. All members in NLRP family have the pyrin domain (PYD) at the N-terminal and the nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain (NOD), also named as NACHT domain, in the middle. In addition, most members of NLRP (2–9, 11–14) have leucine-rich repeats (LRRs) at the C-terminal. The NLRP1's C-terminal has the caspase recruitment domain (CARD), function-to-find domain (FIIND), and leucine-rich repeats (LRRs).
