  • Hepatomegaly

  • Elevated transaminases

  • Splenomegaly

  • Hemolytic anemia

  • Thrombocytopenia

  • WBC count: 10–30 × 109/L (or higher) because of an absolute lymphocytosis

  • Reactive lymphocyte morphology

  • Positive heterophile antibody test

  • Positive EBV-specific antigen & antibody tests
