Figure 6-6 — Peracute ETEC diarrhea with voluminous diarrhea. The calf had a plasma bicarbonate of 6, pH 5 6.98, and K 5 8.4 mEq/L. Following sodium bicarbonate therapy, the calf made a quick recovery.
