Table 5.10.
Performance requirements for clean air suits (EN 13795–3)
Characteristic | Requirementc |
---|---|
Resistance to microbial penetration–dry (log10 CFU) | ≤2a,b |
Cleanliness–microbial (log10 CFU/dm2) | ≤2b |
Cleanliness–particular matter (IPM) | ≤3.5 |
Linting (log10 lint count) | ≤4.0 |
Bursting strength–dry (kPa) | ≥40 |
Tensile strength–dry (N) | ≥20 |
Test conditions: challenge concentration 108 CFU/g talc. and 30 min vibration time.
For the purpose of this standard, log10 CFU ≤ 2 means maximum 300 CFU.
Performance requirements apply for all product areas of clean air suits, as clean air suits should be used in addition to surgical gowns and not as a substitute.
