Cells were cultured in 75 cm2 culture flasks until achieving 60% confluence and then either CQ 20 mM (24 h), 5-FU 20 mM (24 h), or the combination of both drugs (24 h + 24 h) was added. Cells were detached by trypsinization and counted. The cell viability was evaluated by the trypan blue exclusion test, and no differences of viability were observed among the cell suspensions (all greater than 94%).
