Table 2.
Criterion 1 (n = 255) | Mean Difference (X̄n) | Standard Deviation (Sn) |
---|---|---|
Systolic Pressure (mmHg) | −2.4 | 7.7 |
Diastolic Pressure (mmHg) | 1.7 | 5.7 |
Criterion 2 (m = 85) | Standard Deviation (Sm) | Maximum Permissible (Sm) |
Systolic Pressure (mmHg) | 6.3 | 6.5 |
Diastolic Pressure (mmHg) | 5.2 | 6.7 |
Notes: Both criterions set forth by the ANSI/AAMI/ISO 81060–2:2013 standards were met for validation of the ABPS. Criterion 1: the mean value of the differences of all 255 valid paired determinations (X̄n) needed to be less than or equal to ± 5 mmHg with a standard deviation (Sn) no greater than 8 mmHg. Criterion 2: The standard deviation of the averaged paired determinations per participant (Sm) needed to meet the criteria listed in the standards as a function of mean difference calculated in Criterion 1 (X̄n).
