YZH regulated DNL through AMPK/SREBP-1 pathway and FAO via AMPK/ACC/CPT1 pathway. AMPK, pAMPK, SREBP-1, and FAS protein levels in liver and epididymis adipose tissue together with ACC, pACC, CPT1A, and PPAR-α protein levels in liver were analyzed by Western blotting (A,C). The relative protein levels were expressed as the fold in comparison to the Chow group after normalized to β-actin (B,D,E). The values were presented as mean ± S.E.M. (n=6 per group). Graph bars with different letters on top represent statistically significant results (P<0.05) based on Newman-Keuls post hoc one-way ANOVA analysis, whereas bars with the same letter correspond to results that show no statistically significant differences.
