Schemes of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) according to testosterone annual decrease velocity. TRT is currently administered when total testosterone (TT) serum levels are lower than 9.2 nmol/L. However, values in the lowest quartile of the normal range (9.2–16 nmol/L) may require TRT in symptomatic patients having higher than the expected testosterone annual decrease velocity.
