Opportunistic Angioinvasive Fungi.

Fungi such as Absidia corymbifera, Rhizomucor pusillus, and Rhizopus arrhizus and fungi in the genus Aspergillus, such as Aspergillus niger, can invade blood vessels (angiotropic) and cause vascular necrosis and infarcts in the central nervous system.
