DHT-mediated ERβ suppression and BBR-mediated AR suppression by histone methylation on the promoters. (A) The conditional immortalized ACS-5003 neurons were transiently transfected by either ERβ full length (pERβ-2000) or deletion reporter plasmids. After 24 h, the cells were treated by either control (CTL) or 10 nM DHT for 24 h, and DHT-induced relative reporter activities (% control) were calculated, n = 4. *P < 0.05, vs. pERβ-2000 group.
