Participants	Population and setting: 64 ambulant people, 16 men, 48 women Inclusion criteria: non‐surgical lumbago including disc syndrome, spinal stenosis, postural back pain Exclusion criteria: need for surgery
Interventions	NSAID (i): indomethacin plaster twice a day, 4 weeks plus 1 mg oral vitamin B b.i.d. (N = 30) NSAID (ii): diclofenac emulgel, 2 cm 4 times a day, 4 weeks plus 1 mg oral vitamin B bid (N = 34)
