KIF1A is degraded by the proteasome in the late phase of PRV infection. Differentiated PC12 cells were mock infected (A) or infected with PRV Becker (B) for 8, 12, 16, 20, or 24 h at an MOI of 20. In a parallel experiment, the proteasomal inhibitor MG132 was added at 12 h postinfection at a concentration of 2.5 μM. (C) KIF1A levels were analyzed by Western blotting and normalized to actin levels at each time point. Normalized values were again normalized to those of mock-infected 0-h samples. Values are means plus SEMs (error bars) from three independent experiments. **, P < 0.01 for comparison between PRV-infected samples and PRV-infected samples with MG132 added.
