Model parameters for avalanche distributions. a The exponent of avalanche distribution in size and duration for subject #14 at 6 months and at 12 months for different thresholds. The exponents are robust against changing the threshold. P value and likelihood for different models for the distribution of b, c size and d, e duration of avalanches at 6 and 12 months, respectively. The P value for exponential and log-normal models are below 0.1 and these models are rejected. The power-law model has larger likelihood in most cases and is considered as the best fit model for distributions. Please note that the error bar for each parameter is too small to be plotted
