(b) Effect of LaCl₃ treatment on plant susceptibility to SsITL‐silenced strain A10. Before inoculation, 1 mM LaCl₃ solution was uniformly sprayed on the Arabidopsis leaves and deionized water was used as control. The wild‐type plant Col‐0, 35S:SsITL‐1, 35S:SsITL‐2 and cas‐1 mutant plant were challenged with S. sclerotiorum strains Ep‐1PNA367 or A10. Photographs were taken at 36 hr post‐inoculation. Statistical analysis of the lesion area induced by Ep‐1PNA367 or A10 on each plant was performed. In all experiments, three independent replicates were performed. Values are means ± SE.
