The score of the predictor is based on the average responses of 25 artificial neural networks. Values below 0.5 indicate that the majority of networks predict that the protein is not myristoylated. (B) CHO cells, expressing the indicated proteins, were labelled for 2 h with [³⁵S]-methionine/cysteine and [³H]-myristate, respectively. The proteins were immunoprecipitated from cellular extracts with antibodies against GFP and subjected to SDS-PAGE and fluorography as described (Thaa et al., 2009). Note that there are unspecific [³⁵S]-methionine/cysteine labelled bands marked with an asterisk present in each lane running just below E-YFP.
